A day of relaxing guided meditations and masterclasses, set amongst the surrounding sacred and ancient lands of Rathbeaugh Farmhouse, with special permission to explore the Rath, one of Ireland's most historic and ancient monuments, home to King Heremon, on the banks of the river Nore.
Returning to your true nature and learning to heighten your senses, to deeply see and hear natures essence. You will create peacefulness and balance within, and learn to work with your own energy.
You will also learn to awaken, understand and use your creative energies, allowing them to flow and connect with creativity, where there are no boundaries. You will practice to feel and understand your responses, and how to express them through painting and drawing, uninhibited by the thinking minds limitations. A wonderful opportunity to paint Plein air in a wonderful private garden amongst the surrounding beauty.
This workshop retreat is gently guided and suitable for everyone, it is hoped that you will bring away with you a sense of calm, personal growth and your own practice to maintain what you have learnt. All creative work can be taken home also.

Primary School Workshops
Many thanks to Miss Ryan for encouraging the 6th class of St Aidans National School to enter the RDS Science Fair this year, with their wonderful project on the benefits of Yoga as part of the school day. The results were very positive, proving that Yoga helped students concentrate better, especially during difficult subjects like maths, it gave them better flexibilty and wellbeing.
Treo go tuiscint and Aanahata Yoga Centre in Castlecomer Park were very impressed by the project and invited the class for a day of Yoga, Meditation and Creative Awareness in the studio.
We all had a fantastic time, with great energy filling the room. Gillian Campden organised and guided the class in a discussion on the history, science and benefits of yoga, followed by a yoga class where the students were able to experience breathing exercises, meditations and many Yoga poses. They were then given a talk on the many types of mediation, the science of the mind and how meditation can improve their concentration, focus and help them with stress and difficulties. The students were guided through a simple breath meditation to help them understand how they can concentrate the mind and during lunch we practiced mindful eating with a discussion on how this particular training helps. For the final part of the day we went for a walk in the park bringing awareness to the sounds, smells and wonders of nature, each child gathered a number of natural items and bought them back into the studio to practice creative awareness through sketching and drawing exercises.
Gill was extremely impressed by all of the young people and the effort they made during the day and she hopes that they were able to take with them some tools to help them as they move on to secondary school and develop into adults.

Summer Workshops
Relaxing Woodland Meditations
Painting and Drawing workshops held at
Aanahata Yoga & Healing Centre, Castlecomer Discovery Park
The summer workshops begin with a relaxing guided sitting meditation, followed by a meditative forest walk and woodland meditation, where participants rest in stillness and become fully connected with nature. Guidance is offered so that awareness can be opened to the experience of the peace and tranquility of the park, the symphony of sounds, and the beauty that was is around.
Lunchtime meditative painting demonstration will be given by Gill, together with talks and exercises in letting creative energy flow freely without hindrances and judgement.
The afternoons continues in the woodland setting with painting and drawing, where participants step back and fully perceived the nature of things that surround them, in glorious detail, letting inspiration come forth naturally, without thought, hesitation or fear.
The workshops are designed for anyone wishing to explore and develop their own personal journey, to open up their awareness of nature and set free their creative energy.
Saturday saw a great gathering of people who took part in an inspiring and relaxing day of active meditation and meditative painting in the tranquility, peace and beauty of Castlecomer Discovery Park, Kilkenny.
Gill lead a wonderful day of meditation in action, contemplative walking, deep listening and seeing, which allowed all who came along to be absorbed by the nature which surrounded them, expanding their awareness of the symphony of sounds and noticing in great detail the splendour which nestles within the more quieter parts of the Discovery Park.
After the mornings silent meditations in the park grounds the group enjoyed a lunchtime demonstration of meditative painting given by Gill, and then joined in an uplifting afternoon of sketching and painting using the nature of the park for inspiration and learning to look deeply into into its detail and form.
